This piece has a milled edge and the reverse is somewhat similar to that used for No. 1522. See also note to No. 1716.

You have to wonder at the passions that keep anger alive even in a death medal! This is not a friendly medal in my opinion. Another place a similar reverse was used was in respect to the Duke of Wellington.
