The Bidassoa, the last river before the French border, was found to be fordable about three miles from the coast and in the early hours of the 7th October the Allies began to cross the river. By a series of out-flanking movements the British were able to force the French to withdraw into the mountains.
   One of a set of medals issued in 1815 (see No. 888).
