Obverse - AU ROI ETRURIE. Un livre ouvert, où on lit: CODE TOSCAN., est posé sur un faisceau placé horizontalement et orné d'une guirlande de fleurs qui s'enroule sur la lame du glaive de la justice, posé en travers au-dessus des balances. Derrière le livre, le caducée, de Mercure.
Exergue - 10 JUIN 1801.
Reverse - * À MARIE LOUISE JOSEPHINE * Le génie de la France, marchant à droite, accompagné du coq gaulois, offrant une rose.

This medal commemorates the visit of the King and Queen of Etruria to the city of Paris . Etruria was another name for Tuscany in Italy. During this era Italy was divided into many separate countries, duchies and etc. In June of 1801 Europe was celebrating the short-lived Peace of Amiens and everybody who was anybody packed up and went to Paris... :)
