A huge and interesting medal! It is heavily pock-marked and worn with
only some of the details visible in places. As a result it wasn't very
expensive, and I expect a good example will be.
I'm going to put the entire six lines of text below. Bramsen had already
devoted over a half page to this medal and I suspect that was about his
limit.

| There's a few battles here that are a stretch to celebrate as Allied victories.
There are a couple others that don't show up on any standard chronologies,
which makes you wonder. There was only one letter I couldn't make out under
the loupe, it's on line 4 for January 1, 1814. The 'K's and the 'H's looked
much the same so there might be a couple problems there as well. |
