R. GEKRÖNT D. (den) XXIII NOV . MDCCCIV. (Crowned the 23rd November [2nd December] 1804.) Minerva, standing, places the Imperial crown on an altar, upon which lie the sceptre and the hand of Justice. Exergue: LAUER. [26"]

It is by error that this and the next two pieces bear date the 23rd November, 1804. The coronation took place on the 2nd December.

NAPOLEON EMPEREUR. Tête laurée, à droite. Rev: GEKRÖNT D. XXIII NOV. MDCCCIV. Minerve, debout, plaçant la couronne sur un autel, sur lequel sont le sceptre et la main de justice.
Dessous: JETTON(!). Exergue: LAUER.

C'est par erreur que cette pièce et les deux suivantes portent la date du 23 novembre 1804. Le couronnement eut lieu le 2 décembre.
