Plate XXIII. No. 7 31st December, 1807. Jetton.
Academical Society, &c.
R. Emollit mores nec sinit esse feros.
Both obverse and reverse resemble those of No. 6, except that on the reverse of this piece appears the word FEROS in place of DUROS. [29".]
No. 6: SOCIÉTÉ ACADEMIQUE DES ENFANS D'APOLLON. (Academical Society of the Children of Apollo.) Between two laurel-branches crossed, a lyre with a nightingale upon it. Below: MDCCXXXI.
R: Within a wreathed border, above, the radiating sun; beneath:
EMOLLIT MORES NEC SINIT ESSE DUROS.
(Softens the heart, and curbs the wild desires.). OVID. Epist. lib. II. ep. IX. 48.
— 1807. [29".]
There is a note that goes with number six that explains that number seven contains an erroneous Latin phrase on the reverse. The error on the obverse date is as it was printed in the original book.
Bramsen - 703
Société des enfants d'Apollon.
Comme celui de la précédente. Rev: Revers comme celui de la précédente avec cette différence que le mot FEROS est substitué à celui de DUROS.
Jeton, 30 mm. - T. N. 23, 4; H. m. 72, 445.

Since I've already put the non-variant description up in English I won't repeat it here in French. There seems to have been several errors in the various authorities, such as the reference to Br. 702 under the Milan entry instead of 703.
