Obverse - Similar to the obverse of Somersetshire No. 3 except in size and the bow is shown across the king's chest.
Legend: BLADUD FOUNDED BATH
Reverse - A king wearing an Eastern crown and supporting a shield in his right hand and holding a bow in his left watching two pigs trotting across the coin in the foreground.
Legend: THROUGH HIS SWINE

Comments. Struck in the same year as Somersetshire No. 3 for F. Heath.
 
   There is a statue in Bath to the celebrated Bladud, eighth king of the Britons from brute, who is said to have founded the baths in 863 B.C. The statue was erected in 1699 at the King's Bath.
