½ Penny Token (D & H 39 - Kent, Sandwich)
Obverse - A Round Ship with one mast at sea: the sail furled, and colours flying fore and aft; two ensigns at the latter, as well as at the masthead: there are two men on deck forward, one bearing a battleaxe and the other a flag, a third being in the stern; while two men are astride the yard, one on either side of the mast. A boat is carried amidships. Legend: SANDWICH HALFPENNY TOKEN FOR with a small ornament between the first and last word.	Reverse - Arms of Sandwich. (Gules, three lions passant guardant. in pale or; dimidiating azure, as many hulls of ships argent.) Legend: MANUFACTURERS TRADE AND COMMERCE with an ornamented stop.

Comments. Thomas Bundock Jnr. was a freeholder and weaver in Sandwich. His father was a gentleman freeholder, and both were members at the same time of the Common Council of this quaint old town, formerly one of the chief ports of England, but now only used by small vessels.

The Round Ship on the obverse is the most elaborate of those depicted on the Cinque Port Tokens, and from the quantity of bunting flying may indicate Royalty aboard.
