Obverse - A crowned lion, reared onto his back legs, bellows his challenge. The lion has two tails. He stands inside a crowned and garlanded oval. Legend, H D	Reverse - In the field * I * / PFENNIG / 1805

Though this is in pretty awful shape it is an example of the rare variety without the mintmaster's initials on the reverse. The variant catalogs at 2½ times as much as the more common one with the initials.
