Exergue, I.P. DROZ F. AN IX 1801
Reverse - a division of the Globe, on which are depicted France, (with the motto FRANCE,) covered with a laurel branch, and England, (with the motto ANGLETE;) the last letters are partly enveloped in sulphurous clouds, which are hovering in immense bodies over the kingdom, and ascend high in the air, from which forked lightnings dart. On the left a meridian sun in full splendour, cheering with his emanating rays France and the other parts of Europe there depicted, while scarcely one ray approaches that spot of the Globe on which England is placed.
Legend, BONHEUR AU CONTINENT.
Exergue, PAIX DE LUNÉVILLE AN IX 1801
Size, 2 1/8 inches.

This medal commemorates the signing of the Peace of Lunéville in 1801. The obverse has a portrait of a young Napoleon. The reverse shows a globe, the sun of peace shining on France which is center-most on the field. There is a branch over France, but I'm uncertain whether it represents victory (probable) or peace. This is a large medal and there are large pictureslinked to each picture for those who are patient. I discovered late that this was a "Laskey"; somewhat atypically he has no comment beyond the description.
