Carl August was the Duke from 1775 until 1830 (Krause says 1828). In the Répertoire des Monnaies Napoléonides (1971, p. 129) it says the mintage for 1808 was 286,252. It is made of billon, a metal made up of approximately 25% silver and the rest was usually copper.
