Vern's Comments:

There's a problem with the description in Dalton & Hamer for this. The right-hand four pearls of the lower horizontal strand are either clear of her hair, as you can see above, or they are partially covered by her hair. In the description you would believe the pearl / hair situation to be just the opposite of what it really is.

This may not be the medal described above! It's clearly the same coin but BHM doesn't mention an edge marking. The dealer I bought from sent it in a paper envelope marked Middlesex S981c.
