One of Mudie's series of National Medals (see No. 1057) issued in 1820. There is, however, an entry in the Gentleman's Magazine for 1818, vol. II, p. 253, publishing this piece. This medal occurs in white metal and these are probably restrikes and were not included in the series. Examples of this medal are believed to have been struck in gold but no specimen has been met with. See also note to No. 665.
