On the 30th May the allied powers of Great Britain, Austria, Russia and Prussia signed the treaty at Paris, by which the boundaries of France were restored as they existed in January 1792 but with considerable augmentations. The frequency with which this piece is now met with can be confirmed by Thomason's Memoirs (pp. 71-2) where he states that 'the die was literally worn out in striking for the demand'.
