Louis XVII in Roman garb rides in a chariot with the Duchess d'Angoulême. Victory flies above while the City of Paris and possibly France offer homage.

Rev: Louis XVIII, en empereur romain, appuyé sur son sceptre, ayant à son côté la duchesse d'Angoulême, debout sur un char attelé de deux chevaux libres marchant à gauche, vient de passer sous la porte Saint-Denis. La Ville de Paris s'élance vers lui en lui présentant ses clefs; elle est accompagnée d'un homme, qui élève les bras vers le roi. Au-dessus plane une figure ailée portant une branche d'olivier. Exergue: LOUIS XVIII. ENTRE A PARIS III. MAI MDCCCXIV.

LOUIS XVIII•ENTRE A PARIS / III•MAI MDCCCXIV/ - • - Nel campo, al centro, Luigi XVIII in abiti romani, stante su biga al passo lento a s., poggia la mano sul bordo e regge con la s., scettro; al suo fianco, figura femminile (Francia?), paludata, volta a s.; nel campo, in basso, à s., figura femminile (Parigi), turrita, paludata, regge con le mani sollevate chiavi cittadine; a fianco, figura maschile con braccia sollevate; nel campo, in alto, al centro, Vittoria volante a s., regge con la mano d. protesa, ramo di quercia; sullo sfondo, a d., strutture architettoniche con statua; in basso, al centro: BRENET Contorno a piatto e gola.
