The first stone of this Monument, in honour of General Desaix, was laid on Mount St. Bernard, on the 14th of June, anniversary of the battle of Marengo, and of the death of the General. There are some Medals without the head of Napoleon, uniting the two reverses of No. 98 and 99.

Une médaille composée des deux revers des deux médailles N^o 426 et 427 se trouve dans ma collection et est déerile dans le Trésor de numismatique, planche 8 N^o 5 et ailleurs. Comme nombre d'autres pièces de la même je l'omets, parce que les méailles ainsi composées ue sont guère à considèrer comme étant indèpendantes. En tout eas tour description spèciale fut superflue.
