QUIETAM NEMO IMPUNE LACESSET. Un palmier au haut duquel est un oiseau et auquel est attaché un bouclier portant la tête de Méduse.

LEGE DUCE COMITE JUSTITIA. (Law guides, Justice accompanies.) Justice holding the balances and the sword, and Law holding a book. They are standing with one arm interlaced. To the right, the orb and an oar. Exergue: MERCIÉ A LYON. (Mercié, Lyons.)

R. QUIETAM NEMO IMPUNE LACESSET. (None would disturb his repose with impunity.) A palm-tree, in the top of which is a bird, and against its trunk a buckler, bearing the Medusa's head. [33"]
