Vern's Comments:

The description above comes from a rare book on Freemason's medals. The author listed the medals size in sixteenths of an inch. So the above was actually 1 5/16".

This medal is a post-1880 restrike. From the patina I would judge it to date from 1880-1890, and certainly no later than 1910. That of course is a guess based on experience and it could date as late as the 1950s when the Mint began putting the year on the edge as well.
