In a heptagon a wreath of acacia branches, tied at the bottom by a cord and tassels. The cord is arranged in the form of a shield, with loops of love-knots at the top, and encloses a level with rule, square and compasses, interlaced; above the level on the right, the radiant sun, and on the left the crescent moon; over the wreath is a five-pointed blazing star, on which is the letter G.

(in a heptagon,) Minerva in the left foreground leaning on a shield on which, around the radiant sun, the motto OMNIBUS UTILIS [useful to all]; behind her a sprig of acacia; in her right hand is a lance; her left points to a temple in the back-ground, approached from a rugged path by seven steps, and supported by four pillars; on its frieze R... 13... J... 5808; above the inscription, a globe and other emblems; on each side of the temple is an olive tree.
Legend:
(outside the heptagon, as on obverse,) ANIMUM HIC DOMARE NEC NON PARERE LEGIBUS. [Here learn to subdue the passions and to obey the laws.]
Exergue:
Under the lower side of the heptagon, as if in exergue, 5808.

Vern's Comments:

Size, 19. Bronze. The die of the reverse is broken, and the Medal is rare.
 
   The description above comes from a rare book on Freemason's medals. The author listed the medals size in sixteenths of an inch. So the above was 1 3/16". This medal is quite possibly struck from an original die and the one described by Marvin a later production. That would possibly explain the difference in the reverse's exergues. Of course it's entirely possible that Marvin simply described it incorrectly.

LOGE DES ARTS RÉUNIS O... (Orient) DE ROUEN. (Lodge of United Arts. Orient of Rouen.) In the field, two olive branches forming a wreath. In the middle, surrounded with a band interlaced, and terminated by two tassels, a trophy of the triangle, compasses, level and square. Above this trophy, on the left, the crescent of the moon; on the right, the sun. Above, within a radiating and five-cusped star, the letter G. Below: 5808. (1808.)
R. ANIMUM HIC DOMARE NEC NON PARERE LEGIBUS. (Here [we learn] to subdue our passions and to obey the laws.) Minerva standing, holds a lance in her right hand, and leans upon a buckler adorned with a radiating sun, around which is inscribed: OMNIBUS UTILIS. (Useful to all.) With her left hand she points to the portico of a temple placed in the distance, on the right, the frieze of which bears this inscription: R... 13... J... 5808. (Réunie le 13me jour ---- (?) 1808.) (United the 13th day of ---- (?) 1808.) On the pediment of the temple, a trophy formed of attributes of the arts. [31"]

Au milieu, entouré d'un cordon entrelacé et terminé par deux glands, un trophée formé du triangle, du compas, du niveau et de l'équerre. Au-dessus du trophée, à gauche, le croissant de la lune; à droite, le soleil. En haut, dans une étoile à cinq pointes et rayonnante, la lettre G.
Rev: ANIMUM HIC DOMARE NEC NON PARERE LEGIBUS. Minerve, debout. Sur son bouclier: OMNIBUS UTILIS. De la main gauche, elle montre le portique d'un temple placé dans le fond à droite, dont la frise porte cette inscription: R... 13... J... 5808.
