Vern's Comments:

By the way, 30 Soldi equalled 1 ½ Lira.

The Cisalpine Republic was established through certain clauses of the Treaty of Tolentino on June 29, 1797. It was dissolved when the French armies met disaster in 1799 and re-established when Napoleon won the closely contested Battle of Marengo on June 14, 1800. The Republic was absorbed into the République Italienne on January 26, 1802.
This piece, according to Répertoire des Monnaies Napoléonides commemorates the Peace of Luneville signed February 9, 1801 and had 300,000 siblings.

Another piece onsite has a nearly perfect obverse but the reverse is marred by adjustment marks made at the time it was minted..
