Vern's Comments:

I did find another of this interesting piece on the Musée Carnavalt's website where they date it as circa 1806, probably basing that on the latest battle mentioned. Twelve sided medals are far more common to the 1840s but the subject matter would make no sense at all. An anonymous engraver so no help there and not listed in any of the great collections.
