Vern's Comments:

The dealer flip incorrectly identified this as d'Essling 1054, probably an error perpetuated from a previous owner. Why that medal was placed in the section it was in d'Essling (Preparations against France, Austrian camp at Prague), I don't know. There are a couple of differences between it and this example. It is silver, rather than gold and a full 2mm smaller. The reverse date is distinctly different. I've included 1054 only because I already wrote it up, discovering the mistake along the way.
On December 6, 1804 (the date on this reverse) Francis I signed an armistice with Napoleon following the French victory at the Battle of Austerlitz.
